I followed this series all the way to the end. The show ended two weeks ago. Its a sequel from the tv series "The White Queen".
Henry VII ascended the throne and to be married to Elizabeth (Lizzy) of York. I highly recommend to watch the series.
I think it's going to a second season. Is E08 the final one in the first season?
Sure it gets a whupping from "The Critics". Who cares? I was never all that interested in Henry VIII until I watched The Tudors, and it's full of inaccuracies as well, but it did encourage me to read up on an era of history I previously didn't know that much about. In much the same fashion, it was Conn Iggulden that first sparked my interest in the Wars of the Roses.
I don't know what to believe as far as Perkin Warbeck was concerned, but the storyline in The White Queen seems unlikely, and I tend to think Richard died in the Tower along with his brother Edward. Who knows the truth after all this time?
Interestingly, it was Henry VII & Elizabeth of York's daughter Margaret who married James IV King of Scots, which inspired "The Thistle and the Rose" poem, and if James had not embarked on the disastrous campaign that ended up at Flodden, then it opens up endless possibilities for alternate history speculation.
